MAZ set to increase presence in Russia
Minsk, 27 January. The Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) plans to increase its presence in the Russian market to five percent of it, MAZ Deputy Director General Anatol Dzyadkow said at an online news conference on January 27.
Russia remains the main market for MAZ vehicles, and managers work hard to ensure that they successfully compete with European, Russian and other brands, said Mr. Dzyadzkow.
“We maintain close contacts with dealers, collect information and promptly respond to demand expectations,” he said.
The company launched new models last year and is set to further expand its product range in 2012 and years to come, he said. “In each region, the quantities and quality of our vehicles should be in line with the demand of our particular customers.”
Special attention is also paid to the development of the distribution network and the establishment of more and more service and repair centers, noted the deputy director general. “We are set to more than double our exports of components and spare parts to Russia to satisfy the demand of our customers. Thanks to this, we will increase our presence in the market.”
MAZ Deputy Financial Director Aleh Yushko added that there were also plans to expand to Russia’s Siberian provinces, which would give MAZ access to China and Southeast Asia.
