Video: Legendary Jethro Tull arrive in Minsk

Ian Anderson, one of the most respected and well known musicians throughout the world of rock music, and his legendary band Jethro Tull arrived Monday in Minsk to play a show at the Palace of Sports on the evening of March 10.
Formed in Britain in 1968, Jethro Tull are known for having sold more than 60 million albums worldwide and performed thousands of concerts in dozens of countries, but this is their first visit to Belarus, where they have lots of fans.
Mr. Anderson, who has led the band since its founding, is broadly recognized as the man who introduced the flute to rock music. Although his flute may be the defining factor in Jethro Tull’s music, it’s only one element in their progressive rock style influenced by blues, jazz and Britain's folk tradition.
Mr. Anderson told reporters who met him at the Minsk National Airport that he had a broken finger and would not be able to play guitars but would still try to play the flute.
