Video: Dissident rocker's band concludes Belarusian tour with show in Minsk

Brutto, a rock band founded by prominent Belarusian musician Syarhey Mikhalok that was once banned in Belarus, concluded its first-ever tour of the country with a gig at a packed Minsk Arena on March 8.
Mr. Mikhalok was the frontman of the popular ska punk band Lyapis Trubetskoy before dissolving it in 2014 and forming a new band, Brutto.
Lyapis Trubetskoy was rumored to be on Belarusian authorities’ blacklist of local and foreign musicians and cultural figures known for having spoken out for democratic change in Belarus and for the release of political prisoners. In 2011, at least three Lyapis Trubetskoy concerts were cancelled in various Belarusian cities for what appeared to be political reasons. The band never played a single show in Belarus again.
Brutto played its first-ever show on Belarusian soil in October last year.
