In pictures: International ICT exhibition in Minsk

TIBO 2017, the 24th edition of an international exhibition of information, communications and banking technologies, is being held in Minsk from April 18 to April 21.
Minsk, 18 April. More than 100 companies representing a total of 17 countries are taking part in the exhibition.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Telecommunications Minister Syarhey Papkow said that the organizers wanted to showcase the most advanced technologies and products and thanked companies for eagerly participating in the exhibition.
First Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Matsyushewski read out Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s message of greetings to the participants.
Houlin Zhao, secretary-general of the International Telecommunication Union, said that the Belarusian government paid a lot of attention to information and communications technologies.
He mentioned his meeting with Alyaksandr Lukashenka last year and with Prime Minister Andrey Kabyakow this year.
According to Mr. Zhao, Belarus ranks 31st in the world in terms of the development of information and communications technologies and first among the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
TIBO has been held annually since 1994.
