A judge of the Zavodski District Court in Minsk on Monday sentenced Russian Orthodox priest Kanstantsin Burykin to three years in prison.
Judge Aleh Kalyada found the man guilty of illegal possession of arms and ammunition.
Mr. Burykin told reporters that he had yet to decide whether to appeal the sentence.
Mr. Burykin stood accused of possessing a Browning pistol and a Nagant revolver, as well as firearm ammunition.
Mr. Burykin headed the parish in the village of Hatava a few kilometers south of Minsk when he was arrested in November last year.
The arrest came shortly after he returned from the United States where he had stayed in his role as first deputy chairperson of the Belarusian Powerlifting Association.
Mr. Burykin is known to have Nazi tattoos on his body. Witnesses said during the trial that they had seen Nazi paraphernalia at his home.
