In pictures: Netherlands opens embassy office in Minsk
An office of the Dutch embassy in Warsaw, Poland, was opened in Minsk on July 10.
The opening ceremony was attended by Belarusian Foreign Minister Uladzimir Makey and Johanna Brandt, secretary general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
The embassy office is located in an office building on Myasnikova Street. The building also houses the Belarus office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, offices of Alfa Bank, Gazpromneft Belnaftapradukt (manufacturer of petroleum products), and other companies.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and the Netherlands were established on March 24, 1992.
Belarus’ consulate general was opened in The Hague in July 1993 and turned into an embassy three years later.
