Famous British electronic band Depeche Mode cancelled their July 17 show at Minsk Arena after vocalist Dave Gahan became unwell and was hospitalized earlier that day.
That was a blow to some 7,000 fans who had bought a ticket to the show. Some had traveled to Minsk from as far as Russia's Far East and the United States.
Mr. Gahan, 55, complained of severe stomach pain and was taken to the Belarusian capital's Hospital No. 9 at around 3:30 p.m., according to media reports.
He was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday morning, with doctors describing his condition as satisfactory.
A statement on Depeche Mode's website said that the band were "looking at all options to reschedule this show for later in the tour." "We expect to be able to give an update on this within the next week," it said.
The band are expected to resume their European tour with a gig in Kyiv on July 19.
