Video: Activists of pro-government youth organizations visit detention center for juvenile offenders

Activists of the Belarusian National Youth Union and the Belarusian National Young Pioneer Organization visited a detention center for juvenile offenders in Minsk on Wednesday, offering entertainment and gifts to the inmates.
In particular, the offenders watched a mock Thai boxing fight and were able to show off their kettlebell lifting skills.
"There are 12 minors who are in conflict with the law," said Larysa Lychkowskaya, chief of the detention center. "Most of them are to be sent to correctional institutions in accordance with court orders."
"The guys committed civil offenses, missed school, ran away from home, used alcohol. They will finish school, get education, get a profession in the future. Their [incarceration] will even help them as they have already stopped drinking. They will be discussing today's visit for several days, will take the gifts and pictures with them. After such visits teenagers who have been in trouble with the law start exercising seriously."
