In pictures: House of Representatives approves Syarhey Rumas’ appointment as prime minister

The House of Representatives on October 5 approved the appointment of Syarhey Rumas as prime minister.
As many as 105 members of the 110-seat House voted to approve Mr. Rumas’ appointment. A total of 106 Representatives took part in the vote.
The 48-year-old Rumas was appointed prime minister by Alyaksandr Lukashenka on August 18.
He served as deputy prime minister in 2011-2012 before being appointed chairman of the board of the Development Bank of Belarus.
He has been chairing the Belarusian Football Federation since April 2011.
