Video: Dozens of people arrested in police crackdown on procession in solidarity with Maryja Kaliesnikava in Minsk

Dozens of people were grabbed Tuesday by AMAP (special-task police) officers in Minsk in a police crackdown on a peaceful procession in solidarity with Maryja Kaliesnikava, one of the leaders of post-election protests in Belarus who had been apprehended the previous day.

Several hundred people, mostly young women, took part in the procession, held under the slogan “One for all and all for one,” braving the risk of being arrested, fined and brutalized by the police.

The unregistered Viasna Human Rights Center has published the names of 57 arrested people, with almost half of them being women.
